The full line of models now includes updates for commercial and residential applications.

Emerson Climate Technologies, Inc., announced an expanded range for its award-winning next generation Copeland Scroll UltraTech compressor. The next generation of the Copeland Scroll UltraTech compressor offers improved performance and reliability, as well as improved sound performance.

The new, 3-phase UltraTechT compressor also offers enhanced system efficiency, comfort and reliability for commercial applications, while helping achieve Energy Star requirements. The addition of the CoreSenseT Diagnostics module can also provide active protection in single phase UltraTech compressor models.

CoreSense Diagnostics for Copeland Scroll compressors assists contractors in troubleshooting residential air conditioning systems. By using the compressor as a sensor, CoreSense Diagnostics gives technicians insight into the system through the compressor, providing valuable information to help diagnose problems quickly and accurately, reducing costly callbacks.

Located conveniently in the control panel, Emerson's CoreSense Diagnostics module strengthens the Copeland Scroll UltraTech compressor by unlocking advanced capabilities for diagnostics. Advanced algorithms and capabilities allow technicians to diagnose the past and present state of the system for fast and accurate troubleshooting and less downtime.

"With next generation Copeland Scroll UltraTech compressors, contractors have more opportunities than ever to deliver improved comfort and energy savings to their customers, while leveraging the troubleshooting capabilities of CoreSense technology," says Karl Zellmer, vice president of sales, Emerson Climate Technologies Air Conditioning business.

Developed for premium residential systems, the next generation Copeland Scroll UltraTech compressor provides enhanced humidity control, greater efficiency and quieter operation to give homeowners increased indoor comfort levels, saving up to 25% on energy costs as compared to conventional HVAC systems. With its revolutionary modulating two-step capacity design, 100% at full-load and 67% at part-load, this compressor maintains precise temperature levels and significantly lowers relative humidity, ultimately eliminating uneven cooling peaks and valleys and allowing for improved overall cooling comfort.

The new Copeland Scroll UltraTech compressor offers customers a solution that provides part load SEER improvement of up to 3.5% and enhanced full-load EER performance (1.5-5.5% increase). It also offers an expanded operating envelope, increased to 145F condensing.
