Nexstar Legacy Foundation Names Scholarship Winners

The Nexstar Legacy Foundation has awarded $15,000 in scholarships to seven students for the 2008-2009 academic year.
The Nexstar Legacy Foundation exists in part to provide scholarships to talented students in the plumbing, HVAC and electrical industry. The Foundation has awarded a total of $45,000 in scholarships over the past three years.
Eligible students are studying a PHCE-related trade at a university, community college, or technical college, or are enrolled in an apprentice program while employed by a PHCE licensed contractor.
This year’s scholarship winners are:
• Benjamin Brown, Central Connecticut State University
• Valerie Edward, Energy Technology program at Henry Ford Community College, Dearborn, MI
• David Hall, a full-time electrical apprentice at Wire Electric, Kenmore, NY
• John LaFleur, Broomfield, CO
• Josh Roden, University of Minnesota
• Margaret Shafer, University of Texas
• David Wahl, Gillece PHCE, Bethel Park, PA.
