April 24th marks a very special celebration for GE Industrial Systems. An open house is being held to mark the production of the three millionth ECM™ variable speed motor and contractors from around the country are invited. The event will be held at the GE factory at 2401 E. Sunshine, Springfield, MO 65808 from 9 AM to 6 PM on Thursday, April 24, 2003. HVAC dealers, distributors and OEM customers are invited. Since its introduction in 1992, the GE ECM™ motor has made it possible for the industry to introduce a programmable, high efficiency motor that helps to enable improved home comfort and improved indoor air quality in variable speed HVAC systems. "With nearly 3 million ECM motors produced, the residential HVAC industry has capitalized on the technology with new premium products that added an estimated $3 billion to the profitability of this industry," says ECM Business Leader, Paul Goldman. "So this is a great opportunity for all of us to celebrate this milestone with those who have made this all possible: our customers and their distributors and dealers."
