Refrigerant Price Increases Announced

Increase is 75 cents/pound

USA Refrigerants, Old Bridge, NJ, has issued an update regarding price increases for 400 series blended refrigerants. The price increase —75 cents per pound —went into effect in October, 2010. It will affect the pricing of R402A, R402B, R407C, R407A, R408A, R410A, R507 and other blended refrigerants.

According to USA Refrigerants, the price increase is the result of increased production costs and raw materials shortages needed to manufacture refrigerant. It is possible that the shortages and production costs hikes will also effect the price of R134A, sources say.
