UT Electronic Controls (UTEC), Huntington, IN (a unit of Carrier Corp.), has donated more than $300,000 in cash and equipment to the Huntington County Habitat for Humanity.
Celebrating its 10th home sponsorship and its 10th year of supporting this organization, UT Electronic Controls recently presented a $55,000 check the Habitat affiliate to sponsor the construction of a whole house in Huntington, Ind. UT Electronic Controls is part of Carrier Corp., a unit of United Technologies Corp.
The new home is the Habitat affiliate’s first Energy Star-certified home, designed to meet ecologically sound building standards through the use of recycled materials, renewable resources and energy efficiency.
