Women in HVACR (WHVACR) is now accepting applications for multiple $2,000 scholarships. Scholarship applications will be accepted through June 1, 2020. Scholarships winners will be selected July 1, 2020 and announced shortly after.
Sources from the organization report that as the opportunities for women in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) positions continue to grow and expand, more women than ever before are enjoying positions as technicians, contractor owners, marketers, engineers, managers, dispatchers and others. As part of the mission at WHVACR — an organization specifically serving women in the industry — it seeks to encourage more women to consider these trades as a career. WHVACR does so by providing scholarships to women in technical and/or trade school or those seeking a related degree at a college or university.
