AUSTIN, Tex. – The Associated Builders and Contractors’ Central Texas chapter honored TDIndustries (TD) with three awards: one for safety and two for projects completed in the Austin area.
TD received the Award of Excellence for WeWork Barton Springs, and a Merit Award for Baylor Scott & White at Pflugerville. TD also received the 2018 STEP Award of Excellence to pair with its national Platinum STEP Award, previously announced.
TD’s project with WeWork Barton Springs was recognized in the under-$2 million category. TD collaborated with owners, the general contractor, and manufacturers to help modify nearly new equipment for use in the renovated building. WeWork provides community office space for small companies and freelancers.
Baylor Scott & White, which placed in the $2-10 million category, faced challenges due to inland effects from Hurricane Harvey. TD overcome the weather conditions to complete this four-story, healthy-living facility.
The STEP Award of Excellence was established in 1989 to improve corporate safety practices for contractors and recognize exemplary safe practice efforts. This is the fourth STEP Award TD’s Austin branch has earned.
