Refrigeration Service Today: Remote Monitors

Oct. 3, 2014
Remote monitoring for refrigeration systems is the next best thing to being in the store or warehouse. Here's a quick look at four vendors —three of which may be new for some readers — with monitoring solutions.

An open case in a supermarket triggers an alarm at the servicing contractor's office. Thankfully, with the monitor that's installed, the contractor can see the solution is to close the door. He tells the manager, who takes care of it.

Result: no travel cost to contractor or service cost to the customer.

It's the benefit of having remote systems that do the watchdogging and in some cases allow for adjustments from miles away.

Here are five products we've found that are bringing new innovations to refrigeration monitors. There are others, of course, which we'll cover at a later date.
