Airtec Products Corp., Fall River, MA,has introduced the RD-series of rooftop ducting and support systems. Company sources say the RD-series is the only product of its kind that's factory-made exclusively for the multiple linesets used with variable refrigerant flow (VRF) multi-split air-conditioning systems. It saves more than 75% in labor when compared to the only other alternative of custom-fabricated galvanized sheet metal lineset ducts, sources report. It's available in seven sizes. The RD-Series includes a 20-gauge, roll-formed sheet metal lineset casing, with a proprietary, anti-corrosive, scratch-resistant ZAM® coating, a hot-dipped chromium-free, lighter weight superior alternative to galvanized steel. The ZAM treatment is a zinc, aluminum and magnesium tri-coating. Sources say the coating makes it substantially more corrosion-resistant than galvanized sheet metal and offers a higher level of protection than zinc-aluminum alloy coatings when subject to spray-salt testing

High Capacity Ice Machine
The KMH-2000S hybrid model from Hoshizaki offers the largest ice production capacity for the smallest footprint, sources report. The frame measures 4o-in. in depth and produces up to 1,944 pounds of ice in 24 hours. Space saving dimensions permit the ice machine to be placed side-by-side or stacked in the same amount of floor space as a single unit. When the unit is stacked, the KHM ice machine produces up to 7,776 lbs. of clear crescent cube ice within 24 hours. The high capacity unit features a stainless steel evaporator and HoshiGuard Antimicrobial Agent. The KMH-2000S is available as air-or water-cooled and single- or three-phase configurations.
