Emerson Climate Technologies launches AC & Heating Connect (www.ac-heatingconnect.com), a website for HVAC contractors, homeowners and facility managers that provides useful tools for improving business and communicating with customers.
While there are existing help sites for homeowners and sites for contractors, Emerson saw an opportunity to create a dual resource site where both parties could have access to unbiased information. The goal of AC & Heating Connect is to help homeowners, facility managers and contractors find common ground in terminology, technology and regulations that will lead to mutually trusted and informed decisions about investments in HVAC equipment and solutions.
“Many homeowners look to their contractor for advice. Emerson wants to help these contractors increase their client satisfaction by providing homeowner-friendly information they can share with their customers as they are facing important HVAC purchase decisions,” said Frank Landwehr, vice president of marketing at Emerson Climate Technologies.
AC & Heating Connect gives contractors industry insights, tools to share with customers such as an HVAC glossary, the benefits of high efficiency systems and diagrams of how their HVAC systems work. “Most people will only face HVAC investment decisions a few times in their life, and usually at a time they aren’t planning,” said Landwehr. “We hope AC & Heating Connect will be a timely and helpful resource for contractors as they work with customers to help them make the most informed decisions about their HVAC system needs ahead of the regulation changes coming in 2015.”
The site also provides information for facility managers who are responsible for making heating and cooling decisions in facilities such as small office buildings, retail stores and rental properties where AC and heating equipment decisions can affect bottom line business results.
What sets AC & Heating Connect apart from other help sites is the level of detail and objective support provided to HVAC contractors. Emerson Climate Technologies is not planning to promote specific products or solutions on the site and is not supporting the site through outside sponsorships. “We hope to be a one-stop-shop for people looking for answers to questions about their HVAC equipment,” said Landwehr.
