Knaack LLC announces that Weather Guard truck equipment has reduced the overall height of Protect-A-Rail cab protectors to make them more compatible with current full-size truck model year designs. In turn, two mounting brackets have been modified to allow the new cab protectors to be installed with the Ford F-250/F-350 Super Duty and the Dodge Ram.

Protect-A-Rail cab protectors are designed to protect the cab of the pickup from shifting loads in the cargo area and provide heavy-duty cab protection.              circle 155

With up to 25.1 EER, the Platinum XV system offers the comfort of single and two-stage heating and cooling. It works in conjunction with an air handler, or with an indoor furnace to provide comfortable temperatures from two different sources. All geothermal components of the Platinum XV reside outside the home, minimizing the space requirements inside.

The unique cabinet design of the Platinum XV air handler allows less moisture and fewer dust particles to be drawn in from garages, attics, or crawl spaces.

Available in 2 to 6 tons, this unit was designed to improve energy efficiency, quiet operation, and serviceability. The Greensource geothermal heat pump has up to 32 EER at PL GLHP. The unit is field configurable, meaning one unit can fit multiple duct configurations. Its closed cell, fiber-free insulation delivers less than 2% air leakage through the cabinet. This not only improves indoor air quality, but also offers a low sound rating of 52 DBa.          circl 158

Broan Broan’s 22-SEER, FT4BI iQ Drive series heat pump offers inverter-driven, rotary technology that modulates the system anywhere between 40 and 118% of capacity. According to company sources, this makes it unique because the system is almost always running, making it energy efficient and quieter than traditional systems that consistently cycle on and off. This way the system is able to use just enough energy to heat or cool a home in addition to providing exceptional humidity        circle 159

Daikin AC
Daikin AC offers a ducted heat pump system for residential and light commercial applications. This product line features inverter technology for increased efficiency and energy savings.  The system has been designed in ½ ton increments with five models starting at 18,000 BTUH up to a nominal 42,000 BTUH and cooling efficiencies from 17 to 20 SEER. The product also features industry leading heating performance that can operate at 100% capacity down to 14F and can continue to operate at 89% or greater capacity at very cold temperatures – down to 0F with heating efficiencies ranging from 8.5 to 12 HSPF.               circle 160

Frigidaire heating and cooling is releasing two new iQ Drive products that offer energy efficiency through the use of inverter technology. The FT4BG split-system heat pump and R6GI gas pack are ready for winter sales.

The features of the FT4BG split-system heat pump are as follows:
energy efficiency ratings of 19 SEER and 10 HSPF
• inverter-driven rotary compressor
available in 2, 3, 4 and 5 ton capacities.

The R6GI gas pack features:
20 SEER and 81% AFUE, making it the industry’s most cooling-efficient
gas pack
• inverter-driven rotary compressor
• available in 2, 3, 4 and 5 ton capacities.                circle 161

The Goodman DSXC16 air conditioner delivers high-performance, environmentally friendly comfort, with an energy-efficient, two-stage Copeland UltraTech scroll compressor backed by a lifetime limited warranty and a 10-year unit replacement limited warranty.
The DSXC16 delivers up to 16 SEER. Acoustic enhancements include a compressor sound-reduction blanket, specially-designed wire discharge grille, and a quiet two-speed condenser fan motor.     circle 162

Maytag heating and air has launched two new inverter-driven iQ Drive systems: The iQ Drive PSH4BG split-system heat pump and iQ Drive PPG2GI gas pack.
The PSH4BG boasts 19-SEER and 10 HSPF due to the modulating capacities of the inverter-driven rotary compressor. This split-system heat pump is available in 2, 3, 4 and 5-ton capacities.

The PPG2GI gas pack achieves 20-SEER with 81% AFUE. The system is available in 2, 3, 4, and 5-ton capacities.       circle 163

Modine Geofinity, acquired by Modine Manufacturing in 2012, is now the product-line brand name for Modine’s Commercial Products Group’s residential geothermal line of products. The full line of Geofinity products include Energy Star-rated geothermal heat pumps in both water-to-water, water-to-air, water-to-air/water combination and split condensing/air handling units. Additionally every residential Geofinity product comes with the award-winning Orb heat pump           circle 164

For homeowners looking for a smart air conditioning system, NuTone is introducing the ES6BF 16 SEER air conditioner. The new system offers 16 SEER performance in a single-stage system.
This air conditioning unit contains a Copeland Scroll compressor and all-aluminum micro-channel coils. The coils make it lighter in weight and more resistant to corrosion than copper tube-in-fin coils. The system is available in 2, 2.5 and 3 tons.           circle 165

The Rheem Prestige series 18-SEER condensing unit is the company’s most advanced air conditioning offering to-date. With innovative communicating technology and premium features, this product achieves efficiencies up to 19.5-SEER and 14-EER. It also offers the Comfort Control2 System (CC2S) as a standard feature. Exclusive to Rheem, CC2S allows the unit to be matched with a Rheem CC2S-equipped furnace and a 500 Series thermostat to create a system optimized for energy efficiency.              circle 166

The Tappan FS4B iQ Drive is rated up to 24.5 SEER for efficiency and as low as 59 decibels for sound. The iQ Drive air conditioner uses inverter-driven rotary technology to modulate its running speed anywhere from 40 to 118% of capacity. It can exactly offset the cooling demands on the home and runs almost constantly at low levels, eliminating traditional on-off cycling to save energy.         circle 167
