Processes and procedures are important. Rules and regulations are necessary. But people development is the deciding factor between having a good company or having a great company. It’s important to have an integrated strategy to ensure effective hiring and development of employees.

Here’s a strategy that’s been effective over the years:

1.    Hiring the right people: It’s critical to have a recruiting strategy that allows you to identify and hire top talent. The strategy needs to be multifaceted, utilizing different recruiting techniques and sources.

2.    Offering timely support: Once the employee is on board, it’s critical to provide the right information at the right time. This allows the employee to solve problems, accomplish tasks, and meet customer needs.
