Dec. 30, 2014
Malco’s AVsMini easily goes to work where full-size aviation snips are challenged. The Netstat Z-2400 zone panel is a commercial zone control system built on the industry standard BACnet protocol and Tridium platform.

Malco Snips Have Plenty of Snap!

With an overall length of only 7-1/8 in. (181 mm), Malco’s AVsMini easily goes to work where full-size aviation snips are challenged.
Forged steel jaws produce a long lasting, sharply defined cutting edge. A 3/4-in. length of cut and sure-gripping serrations on the lower jaw blade provide optimum controlled speed and accuracy for tight or awkward cutting locations.     malcotools.com

PRODUCT SHOWCASE AWARD FOR JANUARY, 2015

At Comfortech 2014, 12 products were recognized as Product Showcase Award winners. HVAC contractor judges took into consideration the ease with which contractors can apply the technology, and the technical value of the product or service to the HVAC industry. We feature one winner each month in the pages of Contracting Business.com.

This month, we showcase the Jackson Systems NETStat Z-2400, which won in the Zone Controls category. For additional information on any of the products listed here, visit bit.ly/CBFreeInfo.

Zone Control Monitors up to 24 Zones

The Netstat Z-2400 zone panel is a commercial zone control system built on the industry standard BACnet protocol and Tridium platform. The browser-based design requires no software to monitor and control up to 24 zones. The system can also control reheat at

each zone for additional flexibility. The unique, pre-configured system means no programming or Tridium experience is required. The NETstat Z-2400 wires to an actuator-driven VAV diffuser or damper. The thermostat uses a P+I (proportional and integral) control algorithm to modulate a damper or diffuser using a 24 volt AC floating-point actuator. The thermostat communicates with the heat pump or roof top zone contoller that controls the equipment mode of operation based on a majority wins protocol.jacksonsystems.com
