This week, Steve Schmidt, 2018 chairman of Air Conditioning Contractors of America, issued an Independence Day message to ACCA members.
In his address, Schmidt reminds members how fortunate we are to live in the United States of America, and the freedoms it offers.
"Many, if not most of us, started out working for someone else. Then, we started on our own and built our businesses into what they are today. In most parts of the world, that’s not possible.The opportunity to take a risk and start a business in what are fundamentally free and open markets is in many ways, something that is uniquely American," Schmidt says.
His message also expresses gratitude for the American system of government, and the freedom to petition our government for a redress of grievances, using two bills that were changed to more positively help members in part as a result of ACCA action on Capitol Hill.
