Nortek's Canada Rep to Expand Territory to All of Canada

Oct. 10, 2019
Nortek sources report that after Vallières helped grow Nortek’s presence in Quebec, going nationwide was a natural fit for the partnership.

St. Louis, Oct. 9, 2019 — After representing Nortek Global HVAC's residential and aftermarket products in Quebec for the past four years, David Vallières & Associates’ role is being expanded to cover all of Canada – from Newfoundland and Labrador to British Columbia.

“It’s an honor to have that faith of a manufacturer,” said Mike Vallières, vice president of Vallières & Associates and son of founder David Vallières. “The thing that’s nice for us is we’re an agency that’s been around 40 years, and it’s been my goal to grow. We’ve always been, more or less, in eastern Canada for a lot of the products we represent, so my dream has been to go coast to coast. Having this opportunity, it really allows us to expand and start fulfilling that dream of being able to touch all of Canada.”

“Western Canada is a largely untapped region for Nortek, so the chance to move into new markets, introducing our best-in-class products and systems to new faces, is one we treasure.”

After Vallières helped grow Nortek’s presence in Quebec, going nationwide was a natural fit for the partnership.”

“This group is more than ready for this opportunity,” said Darren Leonard, Nortek’s senior director of residential sales, North America. “Having been in a business relationship with them for years now, we know the level of commitment they have in meeting their promises, pushing for sales, supporting customers and standing out as leaders in training. The future is definitely bright with our neighbors to the north.”

Reflecting its expanded role, Vallières & Associates is making some major changes as it grows, including moving into a new building with an expanded training center this fall.

“There’s a lot of work to be done, but it’s a huge privilege,” Mike Vallières said. “There are not too many manufacturers that would trust someone that has been in one sector but invest in them to expand to the entire country. We won’t let Nortek down.”
