American Standard, Princeton, NJ, hosted the mid-year meeting of the Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors’ National Association (PHCC) Educational Foundation’s board of governors.
Joe Maiale, American Standard’s vice president of wholesale sales Americas bath and kitchen, conducted a tour of the company’s Research and Design Center in nearby Piscataway, N.J. There, meeting attendees were given an inside look at the technology used to design, test, manufacture, and ship the company’s newest water closets, fixtures, faucets, and whirlpools.
“By assuring that each step of product production is held to the highest standard, and takes advantage of the advanced development tools available to us, we can ensure that contractors and customers receive a product that regularly exceeds their expectations,” says Maiale.
The board of governors meeting provided an update on foundation projects and educational efforts. Highlights of the meeting included the announcement of a new training program to teach contractors how to accurately determine their overhead costs, and how to recover overhead expenses.
Meeting attendees also learned about Network ‘06, the PHCC and American Supply Association (ASA) joint convention and exhibition, to be held September 26-30 in Chicago, IL.
