LG Electronics USA officially opened its newest LG Training Academy in Rancho Cucamonga, CA in December. The facility will support the company’s expanding commercial air conditioning business in the U.S. LG’s first such training facility was opened a year ago near Atlanta, GA.

The academy has the capacity to train hundreds of engineers, contractors, and technicians each year. The training academy will educate a diverse audience on LG’s advanced applied commercial products, duct-free and energy efficient solutions, and others that can broaden the commercial contractor’s portfolio.

The facility occupies 7,000 sq.ft., 4,500-sq. ft. of which will be dedicated to LG’s commercial air conditioning division, and provide focused training rooms devoted to LG’s residential, light commercial, and applied commercial products. It also provides office space for trainers and sales managers.

LG sources say the company plans to expand the facility’s educational programs and feature both one- and two-day sessions. Students also will have the option of participating in shorter, half-day courses, or more intensive five-day training sessions.

“As our commercial air conditioning business continues to expand, this facility will be crucial to providing our key partners and engineers with the educational tools necessary for successful installations,” says Kelly Cutchins, vice president of LG Electronics USA’s commercial air conditioning division. Cutchins led a tour of the facility that included state and local officials.
