The Heat Exchange Institute (HEI) is pleased to announce the formation of the new HEI Air Cooled Condenser Section. The Air Cooled Condenser Section became part of HEI in 2009 and is currently working on the development of an air cooled condenser standard.

The Heat Exchange Institute (HEI) is pleased to announce the formation of the new HEI Air Cooled Condenser Section. The Air Cooled Condenser Section became part of HEI in 2009 and is currently working on the development of an air cooled condenser standard.

The standard will address such subjects as design considerations for air cooled condensers, condenser performance and operation, instrumentation and control, service connections, and venting equipment, as well as other important technical information on air cooled condensers. The Air Cooled Condenser Section anticipates releasing the new standard sometime in late 2010.

The Heat Exchange Institute (HEI) is a non-profit trade association committed to the technical advancement, promotion, and understanding of a broad range of utility and industrial-scale heat exchange and vacuum apparatus. The Institute concentrates its efforts on the manufacturing and engineering aspects of steam surface condensers, closed feedwater heaters, power plant heat exchangers, liquid ring vacuum pumps, air cooled condensers, steam jet ejectors, and deaerators.
