RSES Names New CM/CMS Recipients

Refrigeration Service Engineers Society announced the latest RSES members to receive CM and CMS status.

Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) has announced the names of those members who passed the CM and CMS exams in June 2009.

CM status has been awarded to:

Samuel D. Cooley, CM, of the South Metro Chapter, Fayetteville, GA
Jerald A. Ray, CM, of the Fox Valley Chapter, DeKalb, IL
Kenneth P. Webb, CM, of the Fox Valley Chapter, DeKalb, IL

To become a CM, a RSES member must first pass a rigorous examination that tests the knowledge required to install and service refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. CM-level members are recognized industry-wide as having achieved a superior level of HVACR knowledge.

The following RSES members passed a CMS exam in June 2009 and was awarded CMS status:

Pat Cassidy, CMS, of the Southern San Joaquin Chapter, Bakersfield, CA, passed the CMS exam in Controls
Matthew G. Wood, CMS, of the Fox Valley Chapter, DeKalb, IL, passed the CMS exam in HVACR Electrical.

To obtain CMS status, an SM or RSES member must first pass the CM examination. CMS status is earned by passing one or more of the eight Specialist examinations available.

Specialist exam categories include: Commercial Refrigeration; Commercial Air Conditioning; Heating; Controls; Domestic Service; HVACR Electrical; Heat Pumps; and Dynamic Compression.
