The Chiller Systems Group, Cincinnati, OH, held its spring meeting May 4th and 5th at the Marriott Cincinnati at River Center in Covington, KY. The meeting was hosted by Debra-Kuempel of Cincinnati, and attended by 65 members representing independent contractors from all over the U.S.
The Group welcomed new members — Atomatic Mechanical Services, Arlington Heights, IL, and Quality Mechanical Services, Inc., Verona, PA.
The meeting included presentations by York International, Danfoss Turbocor, McQuay International, Redi Controls, and Utilivisor.
Member Scott Tracy of Chiller Systems Service, Inc. of Lakewood, CO, made a presentation on his company’s successful project retrofitting a Carrier Model 19EB with a York Optiview Panel and a York Variable Speed Drive.
Several technical training classes were discussed and scheduled for the upcoming months. The fall meeting will be held September 21st and 22nd in Boston, MA, and will be hosted by Emcor Services, CommAir/BALCO, Stoughton, MA.
The Chiller Systems Group is a network of independent contractors from the United States dedicated to knowledge sharing and training to provide building owners the highest level of chiller service.
The Group seeks the cooperation of the chiller manufacturers in providing training and technical information in a timely manner.
The Group is comprised of 40 independent contractors who specialize in chiller systems service, with its members performing service annually on over 10,000 chillers.
Meetings are held semi-annually to exchange technical data, best business practices and stay current on manufacturer and supplier capabilities. In addition to the semi-annual meetings and training, members share technical information daily through an e-mail user group.
