Expect Personal Attention from Your Rep

A project manager doesn't just decide to show up after an installation has been completed, and expect everything has been done correctly. He or she manages the project on a regular basis. As a business owner, you should expect the same from your insurance representative.

To make sure that your policy is up-to-date and all of your exposures are covered, your insurance representative and insurance company should offer risk management services to review and assist with identification of hazards to help with loss prevention and cost containment, and an annual review of coverage to identify changes that influence your insurance needs. Maybe you are having a better year than expected and need to increase your rating basis (sales or payroll) to avoid a large audit at the end of the policy period.

Whatever the case, you're paying a lot in insurance premiums. In return, you should expect to see your insurance representative more than just at renewal time.
