With independent HVAC contractors all over the country raising serious questions about Carrier Corp.'s relationship with national retailer Sears, and its potential impact on contracting businesses, Carrier's president has accepted an invitation from the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) to appear at the association's annual conference to meet with contractors and address these concerns. Each year, the Contractor Town Hall Meeting is held as part of ACCA's Annual Conference. It's typically closed to all except ACCA member contractors. This year, an exception will be made so that Halsey Cook, president of Carrier's North America Residential division, may speak with contractors in an open forum. The Contractor Town Hall Meeting will be open to contractors attending the ACCA Conference & Indoor Air Expo on Saturday, March 15, at 7:00 am. The 2003 ACCA Conference & Indoor Air Expo will be held March 12-15, 2003, at the Wyndham Palm Springs in Palm Springs, California. For more information or to register, visit www.acca.org or call (703) 575-4477.
