Daikin Names Robert Giba Controls Project Manager

Will manage product quality, development, cost, and performance.

Daikin AC (Americas), Inc., Carrollton, TX, has named Robert Giba to the position of controls project manager. Giba will provide customer support, and be responsible for the planning, pre-engineering, and commissioning of Daikin’s controls, such as the Intelligent Manager III. He will also focus on scope development, schedule, cost management, product quality, and performance of Daikin’s suite of control products.

“Robert’s industry experience and knowledge of controls will continue to be a great asset at Daikin AC. In his new role, he continues to support our advanced line of controls as well as other projects and we are confident he will help us continue to support our customers more effectively,” says Kenji Obata, Daikin AC Americas' manager of control engineering.

Giba joined Daikin as an area service manager in 2004, and was promoted in June 2007 to controls specialist. He has 21 years of multi-dimensional industry experience with medium and large commercial mechanical contractors and national HVAC controls and equipment manufacturers. He has served in several technical and management roles, including commercial service and testing, adjusting and balancing technician, and service manager.
