Lenze Americas, a leading global manufacturer of electrical and mechanical drives , motion control and automation technology, has successfully acquired ISO 9001:2008 certification at its primary North American facilities in Massachusetts and Illinois.
Conferred by UL DQS, Inc.— recognized worldwide as an authorized third party providing management systems certifications — the ISO 9001 validates that a qualified management system is in place at Lenze and demonstrates the company’s abiding commitment to quality and regulatory requirements, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. “
Audits are a key component of ISO 9001 certification to continuously manage, verify and improve systems. In preparation for ISO certification, Lenze conducted over a dozen internal audits within our North American operations,” states Dale Seidlitz, quality and safety manager, Lenze Americas.
“We want to acknowledge the outstanding support received from Lenze globally. Truly a team effort and a great success, formal ISO certification reflects the Lenze commitment worldwide to a rigorous quality management system, continuous process improvement, and delivery of the highest level of customer satisfaction.”
The Lenze ISO certification process was driven by an internal quality management team led by Seidlitz and comprising leadership from the U.S. and its corporate headquarters in Germany. ISO 9001:2008 standards are recognized globally for denoting the highest quality management processes. Certification is granted to organizations that adhere to international standards for quality management that ensure continual improvement of the ISO objectives. Companies achieve certification by implementing policies, procedures and systems that follow and meet ISO standards, which are audited by a third-party certification body. Certification is retained through ongoing compliance audits.
“Our quality management system starts with customer expectations—and ends with Lenze customer satisfaction,” adds Seidlitz. “A culmination of established practices and business systems built on a deep understanding of each customer’s unique requirements, ISO 9001 certification confers not only industry recognition, but validation to customers that their trust is wisely placed in Lenze,” Seidlitz adds.
