Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson, announced that it had donated a White-Rodgers product training van to Ranken Technical College, St. Louis, MO.
“White-Rodgers has a strong commitment to continuing education in the HVAC industry,” says Jay Wirts, director of marketing for White-Rodgers. “The popular training van is one of the ways we support that commitment. When we first started the training van concept in the 1970s, we used an actual van. Today that idea is in its fourth generation, having evolved into a state-of-the-art bus.”
After years of service, tens of thousands of visitors, and more than 250,000 miles, Emerson wanted their St. Louis region training bus to go to good use. The company decided to donate the training bus to Ranken Technical College and allow the students to apply their skills to refurbish the bus. After that, the bus will be used to transport Ranken students.
Ken Meyer, development officer at Ranken said, “We can’t thank White-Rodgers and Emerson Climate Technologies enough for this opportunity. Our students will get some valuable hands-on experience working on the bus and the school will get some needed student transportation.”
Ranken Technical College is a private, non-profit institution of higher education. Ranken has provided students with top quality educational programs for nearly 100 years.
