Carrier Corp. is taking its new line of light commercial comfort solutions, described as, "the most comprehensive and energy efficient offering in the company’s history," on a nationwide "Blueprint to Win" tour.

The tour includes training on the latest Carrier® light commercial rooftops and split systems (up to 30 tons), which have some of the highest commercial energy efficiency ratings (EERs) in the industry. Tour events include instruction on regulatory guidelines and informational resources found on Carrier's website.

The one-day training sessions are designed to provide HVAC industry professionals with information on energy efficiency and comfort solutions in both new and replacement applications.

During the meetings, the Carrier team will review:

  • the sustainable Weather Series packaged rooftops (2 to 25 tons)
  • Gemini® split systems up to 30 tons, Carrier and Toshiba Carrier duct-free splits from 0.75 to 5 tons
  • legislative issues updates, including ASHRAE 90.1 and Energy Star® standards
  • indoor air quality (IAQ)
  • system network controls
  • application layout
  • financial payback analysis
  • training courses and software programs for product selection.

"Our 2010 light commercial product line is our broadest and most efficient ever, which is why we felt it was important to illustrate the benefits directly to our customers," says Greg Alcorn, vice president of sales and marketing, Carrier Light Commercial Systems.

In other news, Carrier Corp. announced it has launched the AdvanTE3C Solutions Center, a new global group of experts in efficiency and environment, focused on developing sustainable building solutions.

Carrier sources say the AdvanTE3C Solutions Center is a natural evolution of Carrier's approach to sustainability. It will support Carrier's customers around the world in developing strategic, energy efficient and custom-engineered building solutions.

The AdvanTE3C Solutions Center will facilitate Carrier's commercial businesses in collaborating within and across regions on customer solutions.

"The objective is to support Carrier's commercial businesses worldwide, by understanding project design goals such as energy cost and sustainability, providing dynamic building and system simulation, and by offering unique Carrier solutions that meet or exceed customer design goals," says Michel Grabon, director of Carrier's AdvanTE3C Solutions Center.
