Grundfos Pumps Corporation has awarded a research grant to the University of Kansas Center for Research, Inc. The purpose of the research grant is to collect performance data from newly redesigned orifices used in boiler feed applications, to be used in place of current orifice performance data, which is based on theoretical calculations. Grundfos says the research and resulting new performance data will help to maximize the efficiency in systems that Grundfos provides its pumps.
The grant will pay partial tuition for a University of Kansas graduate student as part of a Grundfos commitment to support educational institutions as well as the company's "Grundfos In Giving" program. The grant is part of an ongoing supportive relationship with the University of Kansas.
