RHP Mechanical Systems, Reno, NV won’t walk away from a tough project, even if it requires 18,000 hours to complete. RHP faced just such a project during its work for Western Dairies, which took 16 months to complete. For its labor, RHP won the Pinnacle Award from the Nevada chapter of the Associated General Contractors (AGC), in the category of projects over $500,000 in cost.

The project involved setting and rigging all mechanical and processing equipment, and building and welding all housing, piping, and mechanical equipment on-site.

The system design itself required more than 1,300 hours to interface more than six miles of piping within 86,000 sq.ft., using 3D AutoCAD software, and housing for workers.

”The project was a big challenge for us and we’re very appreciative of the recognition given to us by the AGC for all of our hard work and effort,” says Steve Scolari, president of RHP.
