Grundfos' Due Jensen Wins Equipment Design Award

Group Chairman Niels Due Jensen of Grundfos Pumps, Corp. was awarded the Equipment Design Award from the National Ground Water Association (NGWA) for the company’s SmartFlo™ SQ and SQE pump systems. The Equipment Design Award recognizes an individual for outstanding contributions through service, innovation, research, safety, and outstanding projects of scientific and technological importance affecting the growth and well-being of the ground water industry.

Group Chairman Niels Due Jensen of Grundfos Pumps, Corp. was awarded the Equipment Design Award from the National Ground Water Association (NGWA) for the company’s SmartFlo™ SQ and SQE pump systems.
The Equipment Design Award recognizes an individual for outstanding contributions through service, innovation, research, safety, and outstanding projects of scientific and technological importance affecting the growth and well-being of the ground water industry. NGWA is a nonprofit organization comprised of more than 14,000 U.S. and international ground water professionals—contractors, scientists, engineers, equipment manufacturers and suppliers. The organization provides guidance to members, government representatives, and the public for scientific, economic, and beneficial development, protection, and management of the world’s ground water resources.
Due Jensen, son of Grundfos founder, the late Poul Due Jensen of Bjerringbro, Denmark, has served the Grundfos Pump Corp. for most of his adult years. His service comprises many roles including the company’s key position of Group President and CEO from 1980 to 2003. Product development, with the application of new and innovative technology has been Due Jensens’ primary focus.
