Haberberger Awarded Four New Contracts In St. Louis County And St. Charles County
Mechanical contracting firm Haberberger, Inc., announces that it was selected to work on four new projects, including a high-rise residential project and three other educational facility projects, in St. Louis and St. Charles counties. The company has been awarded contracts at Fontbonne University in Clayton, MO, Francis Howell High School in St. Charles, MO, Maryville University in Town and Country, MO, and the Whitehall Club in Clayton, MO.
Brinkmann Constructors selected Haberberger for a project to expand the existing wastewater treatment facility at Francis Howell High School in St. Charles County. The Haberberger team, led by Project Manager Jeff Roberts and General Superintendent Doug Coonrod, will be in charge of installing two new membrane treatment tanks, converting existing tanks into preaeration tanks and installing all associated piping. The project is expected to be completed in August.
Haberberger was also recruited for work on projects at two separate universities. The first project involves extensive upgrades to and expansion of the cooling, UPS and wire management systems at Fontbonne University’s main data center in Ryan Hall. Haberberger, under the supervision of Project Manager Hewie Powell, and Benson Electric, under the direction of Mike Schlautman, are collaborating on the project to make the data center more energy-efficient. The project will be completed before fall classes begin.
The second university project Haberberger is involved in is at Maryville University in Town and Country, MO, where the firm will provide design-build services to renovate laboratory spaces in Kernaghan Hall.
The project will also include installing a complete code-compliant HVAC system. Haberberger Project Engineer John Gallia, with the assistance of Jeff Haberberger, is providing the design, engineering and construction administration associated with the project. Steve Brightman is serving as general foreman. The project is expected to be completed by the end of August.
Haberberger will also lend its design-build expertise to a heating system improvement project at the Whitehall Club, a high-rise condominium building near the heart of Clayton, MO. The project involves the complete replacement of four sets of heating hot water risers that travel up 17 stories and serve more than 80 individual fan coil units. The work also includes furnishing and installing a new air-handling unit in the equipment room, as well new in-line pumps and an air separator. Haberberger General Foreman Rob Arbuthnot will supervise the work in the field, while Tim Schneider will serve as project manager. Major subcontractors include JEN Mechanical for the sheet metal work, Thornburgh Insulation, Benson Electric and Senco Services for testing and balancing. The project is expected to wrap up in early fall.
