The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors—National Association (PHCC) announce recently that Kevin Schwalb is PHCC's new director of government relations. He comes to PHCC with a strong background in the federal government and construction-related trade associations.
Schwalb served the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Office of the Secretary, as director for the Office of Public Liaison. In this position he was responsible for stakeholder outreach, including but not limited to leaders in the business and union communities. He previously served as director of legislative and regulatory affairs for the National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMA). Schwalb’s background also includes six years as federal legislative director for the National Association of Home Builders. He also worked as director of ACEC/PAC and as Washington representative for the American Consulting Engineers Council after spending almost two years as the PAC coordinator/legislative manager for Associated Builders & Contractors.
“PHCC is very pleased to have Kevin on board to guide our government relations efforts,” says PHCC President Joe Schmitt. “He brings with him a wealth of experience in the legislative, public policy and trade association environments that is certain to be an asset to our organization.”
The PHCC-National Association provides legislative advocacy, education and training to more than 4,000 plumbing and HVACR businesses and 85,000 technicians.
