The Service Roundtable, Dallas, TX, a new contractor profit improvement group (see CB, July 2002, p. 10), has announced its endorsement of the North American Technician Excellence (NATE) program. “We’re very excited to have the Service Roundtable join the NATE team,” says NATE President Rex Boynton. “One look at the founding members will tell you that this is a quality organization and their support further solidifies NATE as the industry certification standard.” Service Roundtable CEO Matt Michel has been a strong advocate for NATE from its early inception. Matt serves on the NATE Board and has made a number of significant contributions to the organization through the years. For example, Matt was instrumental in organizing the NATE Certified Technician Olympics, which take place each year at HVAC Comfortech. “We will be developing technician brochures in support of NATE and releasing them to the industry as a public service,” says Michel. “We are also finalizing a series of online practice tests for Service Roundtable members to make the test less intimidating and encourage Service Roundtable member technicians to take the full test. “The research clearly shows consumers want certification and NATE is it,” Michel adds. “It’s the standard that all responsible industry groups support.” The Service Roundtable is the HVAC industry’s fastest growing independent contractor group. Contractors who join the organization receive a steady stream of sales, marketing, and profit improvement tools for a low monthly fee. For more information visit www.serviceroundtable.com. NATE is the industry’s leading technician certification program, supported by virtually every facet of the HVACR industry and endorsed by the U.S. Department of Energy.
