The smell of petrol and burning rubber is in the air, which can only mean one thing: it’s racing season. With the Daytona 500 already in the books for 2008, HVAC industry manufacturers are looking for inside tracks to driver sponsorships.
Rheem Manufacturing Company announced it has extended its sponsorship agreement with Richard Childress Racing (RCR) for the 2008-2009 Sprint Cup seasons, and will continue as a major associate sponsor of RCR’s No. 29 car, driven by 2007 Daytona 500 champ Kevin Harvick.
Lenox Tools announced the start of the Lenox Extra Mile Heroes Program.
NASCAR driver Jeff Burton and Lenox are conducting a search for users and suppliers of industrial tools who “go the extra mile.”
In recognition of the Lenox Extra Mile Heroes, the New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) NASCAR Sprint Cup race has added a lap; making it the Lenox Industrial Tools 301. For the first time in NASCAR history, the length of the Sprint Cup race will be 301 laps to honor the efforts of these heroes.
Lenox is the primary sponsor of Burton’s No. 31 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet for this year’s Lenox Industrial Tools 301 on June 29th, and the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis on July 27th.
