Dexter + Chaney, Seattle, WA, is celebrating its 25th anniversary as a provider of construction management software.
The company recently marked the occasion with a party for employees, customers, vendors, family members, and others at its Seattle headquarters.
In 1981, founders Mark Dexter and John Chaney applied their experience and knowledge with ERP implementations for large organizations to the construction industry.
According to the company, more than 1,000 construction companies throughout the U.S. are current users of its Forefront Construction Suite software.
Forefront has evolved over the years to offer 30 integrated modules that provide a broad range of functions enabling companies to manage their complex businesses. Construction companies of all types—including general, heavy/highway, utility, electrical, mechanical, HVACR and others—employ Forefront to handle project management, construction accounting, service management, human resources, document imaging, remote connectivity and data sharing.
More than 7,000 total users make use of Forefront’s Document Imaging component, which addresses a typically painful problem for contracting firms: giving management, office staff and project managers the fast access they need to important documents like AP invoices, change orders, payroll timecards, contracts, and others.
