The Mechanical Service Contractors of America (MSCA) has established a new website to provide contractors, building owners and the public information on the MSCA STAR Qualified Contractor Program.
The website, www.mscastar.org, contains sections for contractors and customers. An interactive map allows users to locate an MSCA STAR contractor anywhere in the country.
The customer section of the website, features information on the program, and why hiring an MSCA STAR contractor is a prudent choice for their buildings and facilities. This section explains how all the qualification criteria to become an MSCA STAR make an important difference when selecting and partnering with a mechanical service provider.
The value MSCA STARs place on their highly trained and skilled workforce is described, as well as the importance of an independent assessment of potential MSCA STAR applicants. Customers can also quickly and easily find MSCA STAR contractors in their area, with direct links to each STAR company website.
In the contractor section of the website, prospective MSCA STARs can learn about the value of STAR qualification to their company and discover all the criteria required to be a STAR. They can also learn about all the marketing support they will receive as a STAR and readily download the MSCA STAR Qualifier Kit, application form and instruction sheet.
The MSCA STAR Contractor Qualification Program began in 2004. To qualify for MSCA STAR status, a contractor must complete a detailed application and provide evidence that they meet or exceed the stringent standards set by MSCA. To qualify a contractor must have a proven track record in the HVACR industry; employ UA STAR certified technicians, have a documented safety and health program and an outstanding safety record, provide on-going education to all employees, have an established tool inventory system, utilize photo ID cards for security reasons and offer outstanding customer service.
