7 Ways to Use QR Codes in Marketing

March 31, 2022
It's about being where the people are and helping them find you, in a way that wasn't possible in the pre-digital age.

QR codes, those funny-looking pixelated squares are not new, but they have only recently gained widespread popularity and use. The use of QR codes in your marketing can give you an edge.

During Covid, restaurants adopted the practice of taping QR codes to the center of their tables so that patrons could scan them to get a menu. While many found this annoying, most people who ate out became accustomed to scanning the codes. The greater familiarity and improved recognition by today’s phones makes QR codes mainstream, so take advantage of them.

QR codes can serve multiple purposes. The one familiar to most people is launching a web page, like the restaurants used. They can also initiate an email to an address you choose with a subject line you pick. Of course, the subject line can easily be modified, but it’s a great way for someone to ask for more information. This also helps you collect email addresses.

Finally, a QR code can load a phone number to make it easier for someone to call.
