ESD (Environmental Systems Design, Inc.), an international leader in the design of high performance buildings, mission critical facilities, workplace solutions, and health, science and education environments, has promoted four employees to senior vice president posts.
Tony Kempa aligns ESD’s marketing function with the company’s overall corporate strategy. He has been instrumental in transforming and expanding the reach of the ESD message and how the company positions and represents its brand around the world. He leads a team in areas such as digital media, website, CRM, client engagement, and public relations. He is also active in industry organizations and focuses on positioning the firm and its staff to maximize brand exposure and industry awareness. With over 20 years of experience, including similar roles at a general contractor and architectural firm, his wide network and knowledge of the industry have proven to be great assets to ESD.
Kenneth Lechner is a senior project manager in ESD’s Global and High Performance Buildings Vertical. Having spent nearly his entire career with ESD, he has over 25 years of mechanical engineering, client relationship management, and project management experience for both domestic and international projects. He has successfully managed a wide range of small and large projects, including super-high rises; public assembly buildings; convention centers; residential, hospitality, commercial office, industrial, and institutional projects, and currently serves as project manager for Kingdom Tower (the next “World’s Tallest Building”) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and Lakhta Tower in St. Petersburg, Russia. He also supports other team leaders in the group on ESD’s extensive work at the Navy Pier and McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago.
Paul Schlattman is responsible for leading ESD’s consulting practice in the areas of data center development, total cost of ownership, mergers and acquisitions, technology consulting, and CRM. Over his career, he has provided consulting services within the data center sector in Europe, the Pacific Rim, North America and South America. Mr. Schlattman is an internationally renowned speaker and a frequently published author within the mission critical industry.
Nathan Snydacker is the practice leader for ESD’s Workplace Solutions Vertical. For more than 15 years, he has provided leadership in workplace and commercial interiors, including former roles as corporate workplace leader, mechanical technical advisor, and senior project manager. He has managed hundreds of successful projects for clients such as Navistar, Hillshire Brands, and McMaster Carr. A respected subject matter expert in workplace solutions, Mr. Snydacker is a professional engineer in Illinois and Wisconsin, a LEED Accredited Professional, and a registered energy professional.
