In preparation for what is believed to be a year characterized by a repair-vs-replace marketplace model, KMC Controls announces a new initiative to deliver repair kits for pneumatic control systems. Kits will be made available through the KMC wholesale distribution channel. KMC, through its previous name of Kreuter Manufacturing Company, became the dominant name in pneumatic controls in the 1970s. In fact, within the world of pneumatics, the Kreuter name is still more commonly known.
Five VAV-related repair kits are available now and kits for other applications are planned. The kits contain such common items as a volume resent controller, a two-pipe thermostat with scale plate options, air flow sensors, damper motors, valves, and pneumatic-electric relays.
“For those wishing to upgrade to a DDC system, we certainly have the solutions to offer,” says Jim Herdeman, Vice President of Sales for KMC Controls. “However, where there is not sufficient justification to replace,” he continues, “what could be greener than keeping a pneumatic control system in proper working order?”
The pneumatic repair kits are currently being featured in the “Spotlight” section of the award-winning KMC web site.
