Jon Hilberg has assumed the reins as president and CEO of KMC Controls. Company Chairman Wayne Kehler had been managing day-to-day operations during the months that a replacement CEO had been sought. Jon has 30 years' experience in progressive roles throughout his career. Most recently, he held the position of general manager with Parker-Hannifin Corporation for its Airtek Division in Buffalo, NY. He had previously been employed by KMC as vice president of sales in 2003 and 2004. Jon holds mechanical engineering and business management degrees from Purdue University as well as an MBA.
As one of his first official acts, Jon promoted Jim Herdeman from a regional sales management position to vice president of sales. Jim had been working in the regional position since 2006. He has more than 25 years of experience in controls- and HVACR-related sales, marketing, product development and project execution in both domestic and international markets. He has extensive ties to the owner, mechanical contractor and engineer audiences. He has also operated his own mechanical contracting firm in the New Hampshire market.
Most recently, Ben H. Dorsey III returned to KMC as vice president of marketing & communications. He is a 20-plus-year veteran of business-to-business technology manufacturing and a multiple-award-winning writer, designer and speaker. He has also created a recently published series of HVACR industry cartoons, known as Climate Change. Ben was previously employed at KMC from 2002 to 2006 in a similar capacity. Most recently, he was VP of Marketing for another HVACR manufacturer, Continental Industries, Inc., serving the HVACR and plumbing wholesale distribution channels. He earned a bachelor's degree in scientific and technical communication from Bowling Green State University.
