Emerson Climate Technologies announced the appointment of Craig P. Johnson to the position of president, Emerson Climate Technologies, White-Rodgers Division.

Emerson Climate Technologies announced the appointment of Craig P. Johnson to the position of president, Emerson Climate Technologies, White-Rodgers Division. Johnson comes from Emerson Motor Company, where he most recently served as president of the company's Heating and Air Conditioning Motors Division.

“A major area of focus for our business is on the continued development of advanced technology that enables communication within the HVAC system. This capability can lead to many benefits, such as reduced energy consumption, improved comfort and lower maintenance costs for the homeowner,” says Ed Purvis, executive vice president, Emerson and business leader, Emerson Climate Technologies. “Craig is the ideal person to lead this effort. He brings valuable experience in electronics and communication technology that will help us to further enhance our leadership in this growing segment.”

Johnson began his career at Emerson Tool Company in 1984 as a marketing analyst. He holds a bachelor's degree in administrative science from Valparaiso University and a master's degree from St. Louis University.

Mark J. Bulanda, who has been president of Emerson Climate Technologies White-Rodgers division since 2005, will become president of Emerson's Control Techniques Division.
