Thybar Introduces New Laser Cut Retro-Mate® Adapters

Thybar introduces new, competitively priced, laser cut, all welded construction Retro-mate^® adapters. The Retro-mate^®, available from Thybar Corporation, Addison, Illinois, offers a fast, cost-effective method of replacing rooftop HVACs. The old rooftop unit is removed and then the Retro-mate is installed on top of the existing curb to adapt it to the new rooftop unit.

Installation time is considerably reduced…often being accomplished in hours rather than days. Existing ductwork is utilized for even further savings.

Thybar offers a superior weld with the tightest tolerances available today through advanced laser technology. The Retro-mate is factory prefabricated of heavy gauge galvanized or Galvalume^® steel. It includes 1-1/2” – 3 lb. insulation, transitions, baffles and structural supports that mate the new rooftop unit to the existing curb and ductwork.

Thybar has maintained a comprehensive library of discontinued rooftop literature and specifications which often times permits the fabrication of mating Retro-mate curb without extensive field measurements.
