K-FLEX USA demonstrated its commitment to the future of the HVAC/R industry recently during a presentation to 35 aspiring HVAC/R professionals in the HVAC/Refrigeration Technology program at Chester County Technical College High School in West Grove, PA.

Jocelyn Robarge, K-FLEX Territory Sales Representative, delivered a “Basics of Insulation” presentation to the group that was followed by a Q&A session. Robarge also led a product training session during which students practiced installing Insul-Tube®, Insul-Lock®, K-FLEX Clad®, K-Fit® fittings, and K-FLEX® Accessories on a copper pipe display. This included techniques for properly cutting and installing insulation and fittings, correctly sealing insulation systems with contact adhesive, and the benefits of K-FLEX Clad’s factory-applied jacketing.

According to Bart Heagy, HVAC/R Instructor at the school, the students benefitted greatly from the classroom presentation and hands-on exercise, and will continue to practice installation methods with the materials donated by K-FLEX.
