Quietside Corporation has named William E. "Bill" Rau president of Quiestside’s HVAC division. He will oversee all aspects of Quietside’s HVAC business, relying on nearly 30 years of HVAC industry experience.
Rau was most recently the president of Watsco Environmental Solutions. There, he oversaw the VRF product categories for both Carrier Enterprise and Watsco, Inc. Before that, Rau was the first non-Japanese top executive for Mitsubishi Electric HVAC (“Melco”) in the US. Over a period of more than 19 years, he grew Melco’s business from $16 million to more than $400 million. When he left Melco, Rau was the highest performing general manager for Melco worldwide, and was overseeing 270 employees.
“Bill is a seasoned executive with a proven track record, who will bring the critical skills and experience to take Quietside into the next stage of its growth,” says Sang W. Lee, the founder and chairman of the board of Quietside.
“With the additional line-up of Samsung mini split and VRF products that Quietside is rolling out beginning this year and through 2014, our company is strategically placed to grow its market share for energy efficient HVAC products in the North American market over the next several years,” Rau says. “I look forward to applying my extensive experience to expedite such growth, and do so in ways that would increase the distributor loyalty for both Quietside and its Samsung Brand.”
