Fristik joined Rheem in August of 2011 after being in the sales and marketing industry for more than 30 years.

"During his rich career, Joe provided many lasting contributions to our industry and made many meaningful friendships along the way." Jones continued. "He also made significant contributions benefiting Rheem’s growth and spearheaded several new customer acquisitions. He was more than a leader at Rheem; Joe was also a friend and mentor to many. He will be dearly missed."

Fristik also served as Group Publisher, Market Leader at Penton Media — parent company of CONTRACTOR Magazine, Contracting Business.com Magazine and many other media properties — before leaving for Rheem. As at Rheem, many of his friends and colleagues at Penton are shocked and saddened by his loss.

With a primary residence in Cleveland, Ohio, Joe is survived by his wife of 32 years, Debra, and their three children, Joseph, Kelsey and Jared.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with Joe’s family during this difficult time," Jones said.
