July 7, 2020
A relocation and acquisition are announced.

Plymouth, MN, June 24, 2020 – Dakota Supply Group (DSG) announced a pending acquisition of Honold & La Page, Inc. in an asset purchase effective July 1, 2020.  Honold & Page is a third-generation, family owned distributor of plumbing, heating, electrical, PVF and industrial supplies located in Sheboygan, WI.

Bill Honold, current President of H&L, will remain to assist with the transition before his planned retirement at the end of the year.  Long time H&L vice president, John Kuznacic will lead the DSG Sheboygan location.  The company will operate as "Honold & La Page, a DSG company," for a period of time before transitioning to the DSG brand.

Paul Kennedy, DSG CEO commented, “We are thrilled to welcome the Honold & La Page associates to the DSG team of employee owners.  H&L has been a customer-focused, market leader in the Sheboygan area for 88 years. This addition is well suited for our acquisition growth strategy and provides us a strong platform for further growth in Eastern Wisconsin.”

“I am confident that DSG is the best partner to further grow the business for the benefit of our employees and customers. DSG brings resources and expertise to H&L that will enhance our value in the market. My grandfather and father would be pleased to know that the company and all its employees will continue into the future as a 4th generation of owners," Bill Honold said.

DSG is one of the Midwest’s leading distributors of innovative products and services for the following industries: electrical; plumbing; HVAC/R; utility; communications; automation; waterworks; and on-site sewer, water and well. DSG is a 100% employee-owned company with nearly 700 employee owners in 33 locations and five states.

IN OTHER NEWS, Dakota Supply Group announced on June 15 that it had relocated its main electrical, HVAC and plumbing branch in Sioux Falls, SD to a new facility,  located at 800 East 60th Street North.

Sources said the relocation is another step in the company’s overall effort to deliver a world-class customer experience. The new facility will provide a substantially larger footprint and more efficient layout, allowing DSG to deliver a faster order fulfillment cycle to its customers.

“This is a major leap forward for our Sioux Falls team and a nice lift for our entire company based on the challenging last few months.  It allows us to provide greater service locally, as well as across the entire state of South Dakota,” says Ryan Tracy, South Dakota General Manager. “Our business in Sioux Falls has continued to climb, and I am excited to see how this new facility helps lead our efforts toward delivering a higher customer service standard throughout the state.”

On July 14, Dakota Supply Group (DSG) announced plans to open a new branch in Great Falls, Montana in early Fall of 2020. The new facility will be at an easily accessible location at 1101 15th  Street North.

DSG has been serving customers in the Great Falls market from its other Montana locations, but having a local presence is another step in the company’s overall effort to bring a world-class customer experience directly to this important market.  The new facility will have a substantial footprint and an efficient layout allowing DSG to deliver a fast order turnaround.  DSG will be investing in the right local inventory and services to ensure outstanding support for this new market.

“This is a major step forward for us servicing customers in the Great Falls market, and definitely puts us in a position to provide greater service locally by now having a physical presence”, says Roy Eskro, Montana General Manager. “We’ve really enjoyed the customer relationships we’ve built in Great Falls, but now to be there alongside them with our new home will be fantastic.  I am definitely excited to see how our team and this local facility will help set a higher customer service standard throughout Great Falls.”
