Much of the $8,000 donation will help pay for children's school supplies.

Woburn, Mass. — Johnstone Supply-Woburn Group, a leading provider of HVAC equipment and proponent of military family needs is giving back to the community with a donation of $8,000 to Operation Homefront.

Operation Homefront assists wounded veterans and their families during difficult financial times.

"We are thrilled to have raised a total of $8,000 this year." said Neal Reynolds, Johnstone Supply-Woburn Group President. "Since starting our work with Operation Homefront we've been fortunate enough to raise over $40,000 for this terrific organization and appreciate the support we've gotten from our customers, vendors and staff. Goodman Manufacturing, specifically, has donated every year for the past six years. They more than doubled their contribution this year by giving $2,500" Reynolds went on to say. The money was raised in combination with the annual Spring Fling events that are held each May at both the Woburn and Medford locations. Proceeds from the 50/50 raffle and continued fundraising efforts at the store locations helped to fund the donation.

Joe O'Hara, Area Director, and Kaylyn Lockyer, Northeast Program Coordinator for Operation Homefront accepted the donation by thanking the group and encouraging them to continue to support their mission to assist military families.  "A bulk of the money raised will help fill backpacks with school supplies for Operation Homefront's Back-to-School Brigade," said O'Hara.
