Massey, who resides with her husband, has been without central air conditioning for a decade. Massey was nominated by her son, Charlie Massey, who expressed his admiration, stating, “My mom deserves a new air conditioner because she has worked all her life. My father has been disabled since he was two years old. She has put us through private school and college, sacrificing everything.”
