FALLS CHURCH, VA (Feb. 2, 2026) — The PHCC Educational Foundation has expanded its online training catalog with new courses focused on communication skills, customer service, and sales development for plumbing and HVAC professionals.
The new offerings are available through the PHCC Academy and were developed in partnership with ServiceSkills and the Quality Service Contractors (QSC) group.
According to the Foundation, the courses are designed to help technicians, apprentices, and office staff strengthen the skills needed to improve customer interactions and support business performance.
The ServiceSkills course library includes short, interactive video lessons that can be completed on a self-paced schedule. Training is accessible on smartphones and tablets and does not require prerequisites.
The expanded catalog includes role-specific coursework for:
-
Technicians and apprentices working directly with customers;
-
Human resources professionals and leadership teams building workplace culture; and
-
Administrative and office staff supporting service operations
In addition, the Foundation has launched an online version of QSC’s in-person “Seal the Deal” training program. The self-paced course is intended for HVAC technicians and plumbers in the field and focuses on helping employees confidently present services, respond to budget concerns, and communicate value to customers.
Dan Quinonez, executive director of the PHCC Educational Foundation, said members have expressed a growing need for professional development that strengthens both communication and sales effectiveness.
The courses vary in price and are also available in bundled options for contractors enrolling multiple employees. Participants receive a certificate of completion after finishing the training, and no formal exam is required.
