CONSHOHOCKEN, Pennsylvania — United Building Solutions announced it has acquired McCarl’s Services Inc., expanding its commercial HVAC and refrigeration service capabilities into western Pennsylvania, as well as Ohio and West Virginia.
McCarl’s, based in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, provides commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration services. The company has more than 80 years of experience and serves customers in sectors where system reliability is critical.
United Building Solutions said McCarl’s will operate as a division of the company and will continue to be led by its president, Mike McCarl.
The acquisition marks the company’s third add-on transaction since its formation as a national commercial HVAC services platform by AE Industrial Partners in 2025. According to the company, these acquisitions have expanded its footprint from three Mid-Atlantic states to 11 markets across the Northeast, Midwest, Southeast, and South-Central United States.
United Building Solutions said the addition of McCarl’s supports its strategy to grow a national platform focused on specialized mechanical services for commercial and industrial customers.
The company also said the move extends its geographic reach while adding technical expertise and established customer relationships in key regional markets.
Financial advisory services for the transaction were provided by PwC for AE Industrial Partners and Three Sixty Seven Advisors for McCarl’s.
