CHICAGO — Foundral announced the acquisition of A. Hattersley & Sons, a Fort Wayne, Indiana-based mechanical contracting company specializing in HVAC, piping, engineering, and maintenance services.
Founded in 1856, A. Hattersley & Sons serves commercial, industrial, and institutional customers throughout the region. The company provides design and construction services, engineering, project management, installation, and maintenance for piping and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
According to Foundral, the acquisition expands its portfolio of union-backed mechanical contracting companies and strengthens its Midwest presence.

Jack Koehne, president and CEO fof A. Hattersley & Sons, said the partnership supports the company’s long-term growth strategy while maintaining its existing culture and customer relationships.
Foundral said the acquisition will help support additional investment in workforce capabilities, infrastructure, and operational growth.
The company is backed by private equity firm McNally Capital, which supports Foundral’s strategy of helping mechanical contractors pursue larger and more complex projects while maintaining independent brand identities.
